The app can't find my TV
- Make sure your phone and TV are on the same Wi-Fi network. If your router splits 5GHz and 2.4GHz into separate networks, both devices must be on the same one.
- If you declined the local network permission when you first opened the app, turn it back on:
- iPhone: Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network
- Android: Settings > Apps > Remote+ > Permissions > Nearby devices
- Your TV must be turned on to be discovered.
It won't connect
On Samsung and LG, you need to press [Allow] on the TV screen the first time you connect, so you'll need the TV's own remote once. On Android TV, enter the code shown on the TV screen. After that, the app connects automatically.
It won't turn my TV on
To power a TV on over the network, enable the matching setting on your TV:
- Samsung: Settings > General > Network > Power On with Mobile
- LG: Settings > General > Turn on TV via Wi-Fi
Not all models support this.
